CMSA U11 Soccer Calgary

Players born in 20167 can register for CMSA U11 Soccer Calgary with Calgary Rangers for the 2026–27 indoor season. Our program combines quality coaching, age-appropriate competition, and a player-centred development pathway that helps young athletes build confidence, improve their technical ability, and enjoy the game.

Whether your child is continuing their soccer journey or joining Rangers for the first time, they'll train in a positive, challenging environment led by qualified coaches who follow Canada Soccer's Long-Term Player Development principles.


CMSA U11 Soccer Calgary Program Options

Calgary Rangers offers two CMSA U11 Soccer Calgary program options for the indoor season. Both programs provide qualified coaching, CMSA league play, and a structured player development pathway designed to help players develop throughout the season.

Both Programs Include

  • Team Schedule available in early October
  • Rangers Program: October – March
  • CMSA Season: October 13 – February 28
  • Winter Break: December 21 – January 1
  • 14 CMSA Match Days
  • Games may be scheduled any day of the week
  • 7v7 game format

  • 16 Team Training Sessions
  • 5 × 60-minute Skills Centre Sessions
  • 15 × 60-minute Rangers Academy Sessions

Skills Centre

The Calgary Rangers Skills Centre gives U11 players additional opportunities to develop technical ability in a fun and challenging environment. Additionally, sessions maximize ball touches while encouraging players to make decisions, solve problems, and build confidence on the ball.

Rangers Academy

Every U11 player also participates in Rangers Academy, which is included with registration. In addition, Academy sessions provide an extra technical training environment that complements each player's weekly team training.

  • Speed of play
  • Decision making
  • Position-specific techniques

Academy fees are due by November 15.


How Team Placement Works

Calgary Rangers follows a structured evaluation process designed to place every player in the environment that best supports their long-term development.

Players participate in September evaluations before coaches create provisional rosters. Afterward, coaches and technical staff continue evaluating players throughout the preseason before final team placement. As a result, every player receives an appropriate developmental challenge.

Players looking for additional technical development can also register for ProSkillz Academy.

Led by former professional player Siryl Fotso, ProSkillz provides specialized attacking and technical training with a focus on:

  • Creativity in attacking situations

Registration for ProSkillz is optional and separate from mandatory Rangers Academy. Therefore, families can add ProSkillz to their CMSA U11 registration for additional weekly technical training.
