The Calgary Rangers Soccer Club and Sports Association (CRSC) has proudly served Calgary’s
soccer community since 2001. We provide inclusive access to high-quality soccer programming
for players of all levels through our House League, Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA),
and Alberta Player Development League (APDL) pathways. Our club is committed to delivering
excellence in technical development and building a lifelong love of the game.

Position Overview:

CRSC is seeking a passionate and experienced Female Academy Director (U9–U12) to join our
Technical Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, this role is responsible
for overseeing all aspects of our female academy programming within CMSA and APDL leagues,
ensuring a strong technical foundation and a high-quality player experience.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the retention, development, and growth of our
female players and coaches, and will lead all initiatives related to our U9–U12 female
programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate all training and development for U9–U12 female academy teams
  • Lead the player evaluation and team placement process following CRSC’s guidelines
  • Oversee tiering decisions and final player placements for all female U9-U12 teams
  • Attend or assign coverage for team training sessions and matches, ensuring regular
    technical support
  • Work closely with coaches throughout the season, providing guidance and ongoing
    evaluations using CRSC’s development framework
  • Lead the selection, onboarding, and mentorship of female team coaches
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with coaches, supporting coach
    retention and performance
  • Support new coach recruitment as needed in collaboration with the Technical Director
  • Collaborate with CRSC quadrant leads and the Young Rangers program to identify, transition, and develop female players
  • Assist in strategic club initiatives that relate to female programming
  • Contribute to the growth of female participation and support a positive, development-focused environment
  • Seek out and recommend new ideas, approaches, and improvements to enhance CRSC’s female programming
  • Ensure consistent communication and transparency with members and families
  • Monitor seasonal player retention and parent satisfaction through survey data and feedback

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven coaching experience in youth soccer, particularly with female players ages
    U9–U12
  • CSA Children’s License, or equivalent (UEFA certifications considered an asset)
  • Strong knowledge of CMSA structures and expectations
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a technical or director role is preferred
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for growing the female game and developing players and coaches
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Canva, Excel, Outlook)
