About the Calgary Rangers Soccer Club:
The Calgary Rangers Soccer Club and Sports Association (CRSC) has proudly served Calgary’s
soccer community since 2001. We are committed to providing technical excellence and
inclusive access through our diverse player development programs, including House League,
Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA), and Alberta Player Development League (APDL). Our mission is to ensure every youth has the opportunity to learn and play soccer in a safe and supportive environment, while also offering a competitive pathway and quality coaching.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Grassroots Director to join our Technical Leadership Team. This role
will be responsible for overseeing the planning, administration, and delivery of our Young
Rangers (U4–U8) programs, as well as leading the development and retention of community
outreach initiatives and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of the Young Rangers programs
- Support community program development and strategic partnerships
- Collaborate closely with members and families to foster strong relationships
- Provide technical leadership within grassroots programming
- Design and implement formal player and coach development plans
- Develop and execute staff and volunteer coach education pathways
- Create and document player development pathways
- Ensure effective and transparent member communication
- Contribute to club growth through innovation and community inspiration
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of soccer and previous coaching experience
- Preferred coaching certifications: UEFA / CSA Children’s License
- Experience coaching or running programs for children ages U4–U8
- Demonstrated experience in program or community project delivery for youth
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Canva and Excel
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
